Teaching
Three principles guide my teaching philosophy: Creating a welcoming co-learning space, promoting student engagement, and encouraging critical thinking through a trauma-aware teaching lens.
In my teaching, I employ a critical intersectional feminist pedagogical lens, inspired by Pablo Freire and bell hooks. This lens supports student learning through a deep commitment to social justice and is grounded in an awareness of how power shapes lived experience and structural oppression. As a seasoned practitioner-scholar, I have broad in-person and online teaching experience with undergraduate and graduate students as well as social work practitioners.
